Igor Hadzismajlovic -Owner
Igor attended the CroatiaSchool of Economics on a Soros scholarship and in 1996 was granted a refugee status in the United States.Heentered thebartending industry in 1997, joining The Park as the Bar Manager in 2000 then rising to Head Bartender of Pravdawherehe was responsible for designing the drinks menu and manning the bar. In 2004, he opened Employees Only with Dushan Zaric, Henry Lafargue, Jason Kosmas and Bill Gilroy to‘elevatethe craft of the cocktail’.
Steve Schneider –Principal Bartender
This former US marine isarmed with 12 years of bartending experienceand hasearned himself a reputation as one of the most respected bartenders in the industry. Over the last sixyears at Employees Only, the New Jersey native stimulatesthe fast paced environment whileoverseeing the science behind these stunning craft cocktails. Passionate about mixology, Steve won the 2012 Cocktail World Cup, an international bartending competition held in New Zealand, and has also taken home multipleawards as thefastest bartender in competitions around the world. In 2015, the Nightclub & Bar Media Group honored Steve with its Bartender of the Year Award, dedicated to recognising excellence in bar, nightclub and lounge concept innovation and success.Steve starredin thedocumentary Hey, Bartenderand travels the world,sharing his knowledge of cocktail culturewith budding bar enthusiasts.
Julia Jaksic –Executive Chef
A graduate of Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts, Julia worked in several restaurants in Chicago before heading to New Yorkwhere she spent two years at the always-edgy SoHo Grand Hotel. In 2004, she met the owners of Employees Only and accepted the position of opening Sous Chef.Julia firmly believes that food should be enjoyed without pretense, and that nothing beats the combination of awell paired meal and cocktails shared amongfriends. As an Executive Chef of Employees Only, she balancesclassic American and European-inspired fare, changing dishes seasonally to incorporate the freshest, highestquality ingredients.
