The renowned Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF has unveiled its new bar, Fifty Mils. The name comes from the measurement of a jigger (50 ml), the most used tool among bartenders and mixologists to create unique and extraordinary cocktails. The logo of the new bar includes this important work tool and also evokes the symbol of infinity. The first and last letters of the logo – F and S – draw connection to Four Seasons, where Fifty Mils is located within garden of the Hotel.
Mica Rousseau is the star mixologist at this exclusive bar. Of French origin, he worked in Nikki Beach in Los Cabos and Mexico City Buddha Bar before arriving at Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF, where he has been the master mixologist for the past two and half years. Rousseau comments that the new concept has a contemporary and refined atmosphere that includes furnishing details in wood, bronze and velvet. The overall design of Fifty Mils plays with relief and light dimensions of the space.
Fifty Mils has a huge marble and wood six metre (20 foot) long bar where classic drinks with modern touches are served, and unique special creations for each season are offered. Some of the unique drinks include the Louis XIV with Johnnie Walker Gold, citrus bitters and chamomile tea; the Bugs Bunny with Tanqueray gin, carrot juice and three chiles bitters; or Rousseau’s interpretation of a classic, the Inside Manhattan with bourboun, vermouth and Angostura Bitters.
The menu is designed to offer easy and fun dishes that can be shared. Selections are presented in a minimalist and original five-star quality way, which has always characterised the most luxurious and sophisticated hotel in Mexico City.
Fifty Mils is an addition to the renovations undertaken by Four Seasons Hotel Mexico DF during the last year and is now the ideal meeting point in the cosmopolitan Mexico City.
